Proud Partner of the ReCycle North YouthBuild Program
The ReCycle North YouthBuild Program serves young women and men ages 16-24 and provides job-skills training and education programs for low-income youth who are ready to make positive changes in their lives. Students in the program work towards obtaining their GED and gaining job-skills in the construction trade, while building affordable housing for the community.
Our partnership with YouthBuild includes support in the following areas:
Jobsite Tours
This opportunity gives the YouthBuild students the opportunity to experience a large scale commercial construction project and mechanical systems.
Job Shadow Opportunities
Students under 18 will be given the opportunity to job shadow any office position within our organization that will provide them with a behind the scenes view of construction management; including estimation, project management and engineering.
Students over the age of 18 are given the opportunity to job shadow a position in the office, the sheet metal fabrication shop or riding alongside a Service Technician for the day. These individuals can also do a combination of both.
This program provides an opportunity for students to participate in a session that focus on completing a job application, resume writing/feedback, pre and post interview conduct and ends with Mock Interviews. This program is designed to help students prepare to move from the classroom into productive careers.
