PROJECT DESCRIPTION:
VMI provided HVAC and plumbing Design Build services making this our largest design build project to date. The HVAC systems feature hydronic radiant heating panels in each student room, central ventilation with heat recovery units, high efficiency boilers and variable frequency drives controlling pumps to minimize energy usage. Responding to the owner’s needs, each bedroom window was integrated into the campus-wide building automation direct digital control (DDC) system to reduce wasted heat from open windows. Plumbing systems include low flow toilets, faucets, shower heads and energy star laundry appliances.
