Design/Build
When we take a design-build approach to construction and renovation projects, we are creating a partnership between you and Vermont Mechanical. The design-build approach allows us to offer you the extensive construction experience and in-house engineering talent at Vermont Mechanical without the risk associated with bringing in an outside contractor. At Vermont Mechanical, our licensed in-house engineers work continuously with you in planning, budgeting, design, procurement and construction.
The advantages of a design-build approach include:
Firm price proposals:
Once we’ve identified your needs and established a plan, we prepare a firm and fair price for your job. As a contractor, we are your most up-to-date source for accurate project costs. You can depend upon this price right up front.
Faster, more efficient processes:
Our approach accelerates project timing because the designer is an integral part of the procurement process. We work closely with our own vendors to select materials and solicit shop-drawing submittals, avoiding the communication breakdowns often seen with multi-party arrangements.
Coordinated design drawing and review:
Our engineers and designers utilize the latest CAD programs, such as Revit and BIM 3D modeling, and our knowledge of codes, standards, design techniques and technologies allows us to produce large-format documents and drawings that make jobsites more efficient. At the conclusion of the project, you will receive record drawings on paper or in digital format for archival purposes. These drawings are often used by your facilities staff as a reference for years to come when maintenance is needed on equipment.
