Renovations & Expansion

R Tower 4th Floor Nursing Unit Renovations

Vermont Mechanical provided HVAC, plumbing and medical-gas systems for a former 40-bed nursing unit that was modernized to become 22 single-bed patient rooms across a 15,000 square-foot space within the hospital. As with all hospital work, our efforts also included close coordination of services on the floors above and below this work.

PARC Boiler/Water-Heater Replacement

Vermont Mechanical demolished and removed the existing boiler/water heater at the PARC rehabilitation facility and replaced it with new boilers with double-wall stainless steel breeching to terminate through the roof. Vermont Mechanical performed start-up, combustion analysis and tuning services.

Short Stay Unit Expansion

Project consisted of adding seven patient beds to the existing Short Stay Unit, for a total of 16 patient beds. Two of the new patient beds were accommodated by phased renovations within the existing Short Stay Unit. The 1,034 square foot expansion also included renovations to relocate the soiled utility room and clean supply room to improve staff access, and added new hand washing stations, a patient bathroom with shower, and new medical gas supporting headwalls in this area.
