Commercial Cooling Systems
Since 1988, Vermont Mechanical has focused exclusively on commercial mechanical systems. This specialization allows our team to understand the demands placed on cooling equipment in large, complex buildings.
Reliable cooling systems are essential to the comfort, productivity, and safety of commercial facilities. Offices, healthcare centers, schools, manufacturing plants, and hospitality properties all depend on cooling infrastructure that performs consistently, especially during the warmer months when indoor environments can quickly become uncomfortable or even unsafe without proper climate control. We provide commercial cooling services for businesses, organizations, and institutions in the Burlington area.
Our technicians and engineers bring decades of experience to every project, helping clients install, maintain, and repair cooling systems that meet the needs of their facilities. We also manage permitting as part of the process and coordinate closely with other contractors you may be working with.

Commercial Cooling Across Vermont
Cooling needs in Burlington and throughout Vermont have evolved in recent years. While our region is known for its cold winters, summers in the Champlain Valley can bring extended periods of heat and humidity. Commercial buildings must be prepared to maintain consistent indoor temperatures during these warmer months while still operating efficiently year-round.
Burlington’s mix of property types also creates unique cooling challenges. Many downtown buildings are older structures that were not originally designed with modern cooling systems in mind. Retrofitting cooling infrastructure into these spaces often takes careful planning, precise installation, and coordination with other building systems. Our team works with building owners and contractors to integrate cooling systems that respect structural limitations while delivering reliable performance.
Healthcare facilities, educational campuses, and hospitality properties throughout the region also require dependable cooling to maintain comfortable environments for patients, students, guests, and staff. In manufacturing and industrial settings, cooling systems may also help protect sensitive equipment or maintain controlled working conditions. Each facility type takes a customized approach that accounts for occupancy patterns, building layout, and operational needs.
Additionally, Vermont’s growing focus on energy efficiency and environmental responsibility has influenced how cooling systems are designed and maintained. Property owners increasingly seek solutions that balance reliable performance with responsible energy use. We stay current with evolving technologies and standards to help facilities adopt cooling solutions that support both comfort and long-term system performance.
